I found very interesting Perla´s presentation, it was easy for me to realized that TV has always been a very important part in society because we can see people been influenced by TV programs. I can think in Mexico´s case, in my personal opinion, it is what makes our society to be in standby wating for the rest to move. People cannot even realized who impressionable they are (we are).
Sometimes is easier go with the flow, and do nothing about the issues that concern us, but we wait for the neighbour to react.
In the Uk was the BBC until the 70´s and in Mexico there is still Televisa to go….

Perla’s presentation shows the power of Tv on the country, for example Mexico, Televisa has a lot of power on people.
I think is the same case with BBC because they show on tv what they consider produce money and it doesn’t affect the image of the government because sometimes they ban the real information. But nowadays with the arrive of Internet, nobody can ban the injustice or the crimes.

I thought that only in Mexico existed a lack of freedom of speech on broadcast television and also the fact that the government controls the information given in news programs and in broadcast television in general. The BBC case probably is not as obvious as what it is now known that happens with Televisa here in Mexico, however it leaves me thinking that this is something that happens everywhere, it does not matter how developed a country is, which is really worrying. There is a link between the media, the church and the government with the purpose of controlling everything and keeping people “under control”. It is important to question what we see and hear in television, we cannot lose our ability to reason if something is truthful or not.

I agree with the comments above, because since always TV has had a big impact on society, since de way people dress until the way of thinking . This is because government is always taking care about what kind of programming tv, and example is that government banned the programs that will not keep pace for it. Valessa
